You called us dummies for not watching Zoids: Chaotic Century and we listened! This week we took another user submission from Facebook and we were honestly a little hesitant after our previous foray into Zoids New Century. Chaotic Century was a great mix of intriguing plot points and familiar liger zoids. The pilot for Chaotic Century hit all the major beats to make for not only a great pilot episode but also an incredible finale.

Are you concerned about Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere? Do you have a shoebox full of small pink rubber men from the mid 80's in your garage? Did you ever wonder where this franchise originated from and how it got to the USA? The answer is the cartoon show Ultimate Muscle. Originating in Japan as a parody of superhero shows/manga, Ultimate Muscle was a hit but only the toys made their way to the US in the 80's. In 2002, a second generation of Ultimate Muscle aired for 51 episodes on Fox Box.

It's the penultimate round of the our Pocket Monster March Madness Month and we've summoned Evan Valentine, comedian and contributor at Collider.com and Comicbook.com, to do battle with Monster Rancher and Magi-Nation! Will it be the show where the big bad is named after the sound a cow makes? Or will it be the the show with the absolute most vanilla main character we've ever seen, name Tony Jones?! Evan, Dave, and Sean have strong opinions about these shows that may culminated in the lowest score we've had to date!

It's the round THREE of our Pocket Monster Madness Month and the gloves are coming off! We've got heavy weight Pokemon stepping into the ring against Beyblade, our underdog. Who will survive this carnage? Will you "choose" Pokemon and Ash's ability to be thwarted by the environment and his surroundings? Or will Beyblade make the concept of battling dreidels fun and exciting?

Ring that bell to start the battle because this week we have Shaman King and Yo-Kai Watch stepping into the cartoon octagon! Shaman King is our second seed versus the new cartoon on the block, Yo-Kai Watch. Who will emerge victorious? Will it be Shaman King with their inability to identify a lead character who is unable to button his shirt? Or Yo-Kai Watch where our hero Nate is enslaved by a ghost to forever have to break up this parents arguments over yogurt?

Get ready for the bracketed insanity that is Pocket Monster Madness Month! Stepping into the ring is our #1 seed, Yu-gi-oh!, versus our #8 seed, Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Will it be the Blue Eyes White Dragon or Drago from Vestroia? Who will triumph? Who will collect all of the things and ask their parent for permission to buy all of the toys? We have renowned expert Melanie Harker joining us to help us with this impossible task.

The SMC crew is moving "faster than a speeding bullet" out of our superhero month with one of our favorites; Justice League Unlimited. The sheer size of the show just makes everything feel so epic in scale and we watched the final two episodes of the series which proves to us that this is an amazing cartoon. Loads of heroes, tons of villains, a team up between heroes and villains to battle a mutual foe? We watched the episodes "Alive" and "Destroyer" and were gleefully excited at how well everything still holds up today. Put on your spandex and everyone "assemble" for the Justice League Unlimited.

Thankfully, we live in a world where Zoid battles have been regulated. At SMC we can't even begin to believe a world where Zoids aren't regulated, which is why we've brought back Jamal Newman to discuss proper upkeep and maintenance. Zoids is about a young hot head pilot, named Bit Cloud, who pilots a special Zoid named Liger Zero. What's the relationship between man and machine? Should the Blitz Team change the name of these team to something cute and adorable? And why is the character Jamie about as useful as an alarm clock? All of this and more when we discuss Zoids!

We're continuing our February super hero theme month with Static Shock. Dave was down and out with the "sickness" (probably a Zombie or the Disturbed song), so Jamal Newman and Melanie Harker join Sean. Sean had no idea that Static was based on a comic book character, Jamal laments that he was a baby in the 90's, and Melanie asserts that she's a renown expert on time travel. Surprisingly, we picked a very emotional episode of this series where the writers did an amazing job showing our heroes vulnerable side through the flashback of Static losing his mother. Things take a twist when that flashback become reality and Static gets his wish to see his mom again when he meets a "Bang Baby" with the power to control time. Does Static change the past? By interacting with the past, does it change the future outcome? Is time travel in a cartoon really confusing? (Yup, it's super confusing) All of this and more on this weeks SMC featuring Static Shock!
