We are wrapping up the second installment of our month long New Year's Nicktoons with CatDog. Do you like Cats? Do you like Dogs? Do you like David Cronenberg style body horror? Then get ready for CatDog! I'm not even sure where to go with this one. Both Sean and Dave had a difficult time watching two things that are awesome independently (cats and dogs), yet are horrible when fused together at the waist. Double oy.

It never seems that Norbert and Daggett ever really get, truthfully, "angry" in a show that includes the word in the title. It's really not more than childish behavior and/or a slap fight; standing sibling rivalry. Dave and Sean build a damn dam in week three of our ongoing New Year's Nicktoons saga with "The Angry Beavers." We landed on an episode that placed Norb and Dag into a B horror film with Oxnard Montalvo (the beaver's hero) and a cast that includes a Toluca Lake, Man Servante, and all of the monsters from the evil of Dark Pool that you can imagine! Buckle up and let your imaginations run wild and try not to let your brains get snatched by an object from another dimension that feed on the very fabric of time and space!

Move it, FOOTBALL HEAD! Sean and Dave are continuing their second week of our New Year's Nicktoons series with Hey Arnold!. The episode that we watch this week is a little bit of a departure from the normal series and should have been the series finale. We watched the 5th season episode "The Journal" that talks about Arnold's parents and the story of how he was born. It's touching, a little sad, and will leave you with 100 questions! So, kick back on your stoop and relax with this weeks episode of Hey Arnold!

Hey there KaBlamoids! Did you have a good NYE?! We hope so because it's Dave and Sean's favorite time of the year; NEW YEAR'S NICKTOONS. This is the second installment and we can't wait to dig into these cartoon classics, starting off with KaBlam! Part variety show, part comic book, and all crazy town. KaBlam! brought us such classics as; Action League Now!, Bob and Prometheus, Life with Loopy, and Sniz and Fondue! Buckle up, for a KaBlamie time.

Sean and Dave are joined by our friend Joe Gallo to close out this year with the Rankin/Bass Christmas special, "Jack Frost." Who's that nipping at your nose? Is it 40 minutes of exposition and introductions to characters that are immediately tossed away? Or is it the criminally bad songs in this show that really got the three of us ready for the holidays? You decide! (Hint: D) all of the above.) "Jack Frost" is an innocent glimpse into what happens when you allow an immortal sprite to become human and then give him a series of unobtainable tasks.

Classic Christmas Cartoon time! Sean and Dave are joined by Lura Barber for some 100% pure Christmas magic with Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Do Bumbles bounce? Does this show have an outrageous message of sexism? The answer to both questions is Yes. We re-watch this Rankin Bass classic and really dissect it as 30 year olds and ooooof; it's a crazy journey. We hope you enjoy the holiday season and definitely re-watch this classic for yourself!

This is SMC's FINAL week of our journey to a galaxy far far away! This week we're Force jumping into Star Wars: Rebels with Darth Max Nicholson from IGN, MTV, and Collider.com. The show is set after episode III and five years before episode IV A New Hope begins. If the design of the show feels a little different (very thin lightsabers and Zeb sort of resembles a Wookie), then it's because they used Ralph McQuarrie's original concept art that was developed back in the 70's. Enjoy our final week of Star Wars cartoons and enjoy the premiere this week of Star Wars: The Force Awakens! May the Force be with you!

Dave heads to Kamino to pick up the latest batch of clones; Sean and returning guests Tony Lazzeroni and Mike Visser. That's right! Week two and we're getting into Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Not to be confused with the Genndy Tartakovsky series called Clone Wars. (yup, not confusing at all) We're examining an episode with Anakin Skywalkers padawan named Ahsoka Tano. SMC is kicking off three weeks of Star Wars, leading up to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Our first installment is Star Wars: Ewoks. How does a show hold up when you remove all of the fun "force" related ideas and have a cartoon that almost solely centers around the Ewoks? (and has the WORST theme song ever?)
