We chatted with veteran voice actor and D&D Dungeon Master Matt Mercer about all things 'Critical Role', the long-running, live-action, livestreaming RPG featured on Twitch. Mercer recently had the opportunity to bring his newly created world to life through the Wizards of the Coast publication 'Explorer's Guide to Wildemount', a 304-page campaign guide that lets gamers everywhere join in to create their own unique adventures. We geeked out about all things D&D, Dunamancy, and the Mighty Nein!

In these strange times of coronavirus COVID-19, the Saturday Mourning Cartoons team has turned to a pair of animated pathogen-fighting heroes, 'Ozzy & Drix'! But just who are the title characters?
Warner Bros.’ animated movie ‘Osmosis Jones’ came out in 2001 from the Farrelly Bros, and featured a live-action Bill Murray, with Chris Rock voicing the title character and David Hyde Pierce voicing Drix; Laurence Fishburne played the big bad in Thrax. Then, in 2002, ‘Ozzy & Drix’ arrived from Warner Bros. Animation on Kids WB (and later Cartoon Network) with Phil LaMarr and Jeff Bennett now voicing the title roles.

Need a break from coronavirus craziness? Then take a trip with the Saturday Mourning Cartoons team as we head back in time to the prehistoric era to visit the 'Valley of the Dinosaurs'! This Hanna-Barbera cartoon is but the latest in our long line of dinosaur-themed animated series (though there are probably still many more out there for us to tackle). It also has a curious tie into the popular live-action series Land of the Lost: Not only do the cartoon and the TV show have an almost identical premise in common, they both premiered on the exact same day (but two different networks) back in 1974. Does it hold up today? You'll have to listen in to find out for sure, but 'Valley of the Dinosaurs' did deliver a surprisingly solid action-adventure story, which is a rare find these days.

In the latest Saturday Mourning Cartoons interview, we sit down with writer/EP Warren Ellis and EP Kevin Kolde to talk 'Castlevania' Season 3, now streaming on Netflix. Fair warning: We do get into spoilers on this chat!
Ellis and Kolde talked about the events of Season 3 and how they follow in the wake of Dracula's death and the power vacuum left behind. If you're nostalgic for classic video games and iconic cartoons, or just want to watch a fun new action-packed animated series, check out Glitch Techs ASAP. Co-created by Eric Robles (Fanboy) and Dan Milano (Greg the Bunny), and produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios for Netflix last year. Glitch Techs centers on two teenagers--Miko and High Five--whose job at a game store acts as a front for their real work: hunting down glitched video game monsters who have broken out into the real world. All nine episodes are streaming on Netflix now if you want to add it to your watchlist or jump right to the good stuff.
The diverse and talented voice cast includes Sandeep Parikh as Haneesh, Luke Youngblood as Mitch, Monica Ray as Miko, Ricardo Hurtado as High Five, Zehra Fazal as Zahra, Josh Sussman as Bergy, Eric Lopez as Papi and Scott Kreamer as Phil, with Milano voicing BITT. Additional voice actors include Grey Griffin, Jessica DiCicco, Hynden Walch, Kate Higgins, and Kari Wahlgren. The animation hails from Top Draw Animation, with assistance by Maven Animation Studios in South Korea. And it was such a great new addition to the medium that we decided to review it for our animation-focused podcast, Saturday Mourning Cartoons.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is back on Disney+! We're reviewing Season 7 premiere of Dave Filoni's hit animated series for the Saturday Mourning Cartoons podcast, along with special guest and regular Collider contributor, Rafael Motamayor! (Be sure to follow him on Twitter: twitter.com/RafaelMotamayor)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been around for more than the last 15+ years, starting with Genndy Tartakovsky‘s exploration of the title period in the Star Wars timeline, up through Filoni‘s fan-favorite take on the material, which includes the unfinished versions of episodes that were put on pause back in 2013; those episodes were then screened at a fan convention and on StarWars.com itself in 2015. But now, fans can see the finished version of "The Bad Batch" and more as they arrive on Disney+, and that's exactly what we're reviewing today!
Note: On this episode (which was recorded before the following information was released by Disney), we speculate as to what the remaining episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars may be. Here's what we actually know now:

In the latest Saturday Mourning Cartoons interview, we chat with Will Becher and Richard Phelan, the directors of Aardman Animation's 'A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon.' The duo talked about their experience in the animation industry and how it led them to direct this franchise's space-faring sequel, which is absolutely packed full of Easter eggs and nods to classic sci-fi titles. They also revealed how the creation of Lu-La came about, her early designs that didn't make the final cut, the challenge of designing a spaceship in stop-motion animation, and how the cast communicated the story without any spoken dialogue. Plus, they tease what's up next for Aardman, including more of Shaun the Sheep and 'Chicken Run 2.'

The Saturday Mourning Cartoons team--Sean Paul Ellis and Dave Trumbore--dive into the delightful world of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts for a fun Saturday-morning review. The series follows a young girl named Kipo (Karen Fukuhara) who emerges from her life underground only to be thrust into an adventure on the surface of a fantastical post-apocalyptic Earth. She joins a ragtag group of survivors as they embark on a journey through a vibrant wonderland where everything that’s trying to kill them also happens to be downright adorable.
Hailing from creator and executive producer Radford Sechrist (How to Train Your Dragon 2) and executive produced and developed for television by Bill Wolkoff (The Man Who Fell To Earth), Kipo (or KatAoW, if you prefer) began its weird, wild, and wonderful life as a web comic written and drawn by Sechrist. Fast forward a few years, factor in a writers room that included Sechrist, Wolkoff, and Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic); art direction by Angela Sung (The Legend of Korra); incredible animation work from Studio Mir; and out-of-this-world tunes from music supervisor Kier Lehman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Insecure) and composer Daniel Rojas (Downsizing), and you have the latest Netflix animated sensation from DreamWorks.
